Dree and Rustin’s day at The Barn at Wolf Ridge Farm hit that rare sweet spot of grounded and CHAOTIC GOOD—calm and romantic when it needed to be, and then RIDICULOUSLY FUN once the sun went down! Their ceremony in the chapel was filled with family and friends who were equally over the moon as they were to walk down the aisle.
(side note: one of my FAVORITE ceremony images is the one of Rustin taking Dree’s hand from her dad… look at the faces in the background!)
From the very beginning, they were all trust. All day and even during planning, they would tell me “whatever you think is best, we trust you” which, as any photographer will tell you, is MONUMENTAL. No rushing, no overthinking—just letting things unfold naturally and leaning into whatever felt right in the moment.
And then when then reception started, the crowd showed up in full force. Things got loud, the party escalated, there was multiple attempts to convince me to shotgun a beer (had to pass, but I respect the effort), and they wrapped the night up by driving off in a Bentley like they casually do that all the time. It was chaotic, joyful, slightly feral, and completely them—the kind of night you don’t tone down because that would miss the whole point.
Thank you Dree and Rustin for asking me to be a part of your day! I truly, truly think you are both amazing, kind hearted people and will always be grateful!
